Let's make memories! What if you knew exactly which games to play with your ... read more
And welcome to my blog 🙂 My name is Desiree, but call me Desi since that’s easier and it’s what most people do.
Why am I writing this?
This may sound silly, but I have no objection to being silly at times.
In fact, I firmly believe that people would have so much more fun if there weren’t bothered being more silly. But I digress!
I write this blog and have created this website for the sheer pleasure and a wish to share my experiences with other struggling parents.
I just love to write and make. And I equally love to play; I think it’s something we all should do more often.
Hopefully, I can help you find more play, growth and love in your life as well.
Who am I? A little about me
I am a mom, and a wife, and a friend, and my own person all rolled into one. Oh, and when not in one of those roles, I play the role of maker. I love, love, love to make stuff.
With so many roles to play, it’s a good thing I know how to organize!
But most of the time I’m creative, a bit geeky and a complete, 100% chocoholic.
Seriously, chocolate takes up a much too big a part in my life!
I’m a mother of two boys, currently 3 and 6.
I’m a bookworm who loves to cook and a general creative (i.e. I dabble in lots of different things).
Now that you know who I am, I’d love to know who you are! Leave a comment, send me a mail! I look forward to talking to you 🙂
Play – Grow – Love
I believe that play, growth and love are the not-so-secret ingredients to a happy family life.
We have a tendency to focus on getting things done and to get to some goal or other double-quick. But surely that is not the purpose in our lives? Why not try to be more happy and relaxed as a purpose?
This website is all about being relaxed and happy. Oh, and to play more 🙂

This is what I want to do with Playroom Ideas.
Each week, you’ll receive 7 play ideas right into your inbox. Including detailed instructions, directions on prep time and the items needed that you likely already have in your home.
What’s included in Playroom Ideas:
- 7 play ideas;

- detailed instructions, included what to prepare beforehand;
- template planner;
- list of needed items;
- any printables you might need;
